LIVE FROM THE UNDERGROUND

RADIO

From Köln in 1997 to two live weekly shows today, broadcasting has always been part of K-Lyde’s story — connecting Old Skool, Breaks, Hardcore, Jungle and Drum & Bass across stations, eras and borders.
2 LIVE SHOWS • 2 STATIONS • EVERY WEEK

BROADCASTING WITHOUT A FORMULA

Evosonic first went on air in 1997 from Köln, Germany as a station dedicated entirely to electronic dance music — broadcasting 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and giving DJs and editors the freedom to shape their shows without conventional radio formats.
K-Lyde first appeared on the station that same year. After returning to the UK for college and university, he reconnected with Evosonic in 2019 and returned to the airwaves with a two-hour midweek show built around the music that shaped his journey.

1997 → NOW

FROM EVOSONIC TO A GLOBAL WEEKLY ROUTINE.

The relationship with radio now spans two stations and two live shows every week: The Drum n Bass Dimension on Evosonic and Break Beat Kulture on TruSkool Breakz Radio.
Wednesday: The Drum n Bass Dimension
Friday: Break Beat Kulture

LIVE EVERY WEEK

Two stations, two different identities, one shared connection to breakbeat culture. Both shows are broadcast live and keep the format loose enough for the music to lead.
LIVE WEEKLY

THE DRUM N BASS DIMENSION

EVOSONIC RADIOWEDNESDAYS • 8–10PM GMT9–11PM CET
K-Lyde returned to Evosonic in 2019 with a two-hour midweek show spanning Old Skool and Nu Skool Breaks, Hardcore, Jungle and Drum & Bass — continuing a broadcasting relationship that first began on the station in 1997.
LIVE WEEKLY

BREAK BEAT KULTURE

TRUSKOOL BREAKZ RADIOFRIDAYS • 8–10PM GMT3–5PM EST • 9–11PM CET
Break Beat Kulture reaches back to the heyday of rave — Old Skool 1990–94, Jungle and Drum & Bass — then pulls the thread forward into New Skool Breaks. It became K-Lyde’s second live show of the week after joining the US-based TruSkool Breakz Radio.

ACROSS THE BREAKBEAT CONTINUUM

The shows move across eras rather than sitting inside one narrow box. These are the sounds that connect the two weekly broadcasts.

OLD SKOOL 90–94

The rave foundations — raw energy, breaks and the records that shaped the early years.

HARDCORE & JUNGLE

Fast edits, chopped breaks, bass pressure and the bridge into modern Drum & Bass.

DRUM & BASS

From atmospheric and rolling to darker, heavier and more technical selections.

NU SKOOL BREAKS

Breakbeat culture pushed forward with newer production, hybrid ideas and modern weight.

FEATURED MIX

Start here with a featured K-Lyde mix. The complete archive stays on SoundCloud, keeping this page fast and focused while listeners can still browse every available upload from one place.

MORE ON SOUNDCLOUD

K-Lyde has more mixes and music on SoundCloud than makes sense to load into one Radio page. Use the full profile for the complete archive, latest uploads, likes, sharing and following.
One featured mix here. The full archive there.
That keeps the DTR Radio page focused on the broadcasts rather than turning it into a duplicate of SoundCloud.

TRUSKOOL BREAKZ — FROM ARCHIVE TO LIVE STATION

TruSkool Breakz Radio grew from the Nu Skool Breakz station archives after that station closed in September 2022. The audience for the old shows and mixes remained, and when founder DJ Pease asked about broadcasting live, TruSkool Radio was born. The station continues to grow and now provides the home for Break Beat Kulture.
